PARK GUIDES
Park Guides fill the following roles at Nona Adventure Park:
Aqua Park Guides
Climbing Tower Guides
Cable Operator
Pro Shop Staff
We compensate by “skill blocks.” Compensation is based on employee skill level and ability to multi-task. Training is provided.
Qualifications
Professionalism; ability to interact with guests in an engaging and pleasant manner
Effective communication skills
Sound judgment and decision-making skills
Attention to detail while promoting a fun work atmosphere
Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision
Physically fit – able to bend, twist, and turn with flexibility, able to stand for long periods of time, walking/running in sand and able to climb on ladders, uneven surfaces, or towers up to 100 feet tall
Reliable and consistent in providing safe and fun guest experiences
Shift flexibility – able to work varying shifts that include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Helpful Skills & Experience
First Aid certification (or we will provide)
Lifeguard certification
Food service experience and/or training
Technical/mechanical knowledge
Degree (or degree in progress) in Tourism or Business preferred (or equivalent)
Work experience in customer service / tourism / adventure industry
Fitness instruction experience
Special Requirements
Must present yourself in a manner that supports and preserves the brand and guiding principles of the company
Participate in site promotional events
Strong stamina and conditioning – You will be working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Able to lift 20-30 lbs regularly, 40-60 lbs occasionally
Flexibility to assist as needed with other park attractions
Other duties as needed, including but not limited to painting, power washing, cleaning, and general site maintenance.
CABLE OPERATORS
Proven work experience on a cable wakeboarding system as an operator/coach is preferred. Must be shift-flexible as Nona Adventure Park is open seven days per week.
Overall Responsibilities Include:
Greet all guests promptly and enthusiastically in a warm and professional manner
Provide hands-on training to guests on the beginner and advanced cable courses
Identify and manage risk demonstrating efficient communication skills
Daily check & verification of all Cable equipment
Maintain proactive safety culture by reporting gear, course, or personal concerns/infractions to management in a timely manner
Ensure all guests are properly outfitted according to safety guidelines
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and technical protocols at all times
Conduct basic repairs as needed to cable rigging system
AQUA PARK LIFEGUARD
Successful candidates will provide our guests with a safe and fun experience on our Aqua Park Inflatables. Candidates must hold a valid lifeguard certification.
Overall Responsibilities Include:
Greet guests with a smile
Review the safety rules at the start of each Aqua Park session
Check life jacket for each guest to ensure proper fit
Facilitate guest entry and exit from the Aqua Park at the beginning/end of each session
Monitor assigned activity to ensure guest safety and enjoyment
Enforce all park rules and procedures ensuring guest safety is a priority
Attend to guests in distress within 30 seconds of detection
Leave each guest with a smile
Clean Park when not occupied with immediate duties
Qualifications
